Since acquiring the 218-1acre tract in 2004, Equus Capital Partners has worked diligently to execute our vision for the campus; we have completed adaptive reuse of 14 buildings and constructed a 130,000 SF medical office building for Main Line Health. We have created a new and exciting 110,000 SF “town center” with the opening of the Shoppes at Ellis Preserve in 2017 and in 2018 we welcomed full time residents back to Ellis Preserve for the first time in 40 years with the opening of our Madison Luxury Apartment Homes. The 378,000 SF headquarters for AmeriHealth Caritas is now open and welcoming their employees to their new headquarters. We have attracted more than 50 new companies to the campus representing nearly 8,500 new jobs. We have removed the guard gates and invited to community inside the campus to experience the restored history and vision that is Ellis Preserve. Ellis Preserve is now a space that supports the community economically, fiscally, and culturally. In 2008, Equus received recognition from the Delaware County Planning Commission for the Preservation efforts related to the Square Tavern and the historic buildings associated with Ellis School for Girls. From a dollar and cents point of view, it would have been easier to raze the buildings, but Equus restored them because we saw the value in preserving Newtown Square history.
